Your Prom Stories!
Nothing can beat a Pennsbury High School Senior Prom. We had John Mayer 5 years ago, and Ryan Cabrera this year. Voted best prom in america 2 years. It was truly amazing being a part of it.

MY PROM WAS AMAZING I ENJOYED EVERY BIT OF IT UNTIL I FOUND OUT THAT THE COVREGE OF IT WASNT GOOD AT ALL IT MESSED UP OUR PROM BRING TIME WARNER BACK . BUT DANCING WAS THE BEST CLASS OF 2009

Amber Blake The best thing I like about prom was going to post prom i wear a purple dress and i road in a truck and i was sitting on the window.and begin on tv

yal my prom was so pretty i was wearing a rainbow dress and had my hair with my name in the middle of it man that thang was the bomb well i want to know how yal prom was

nice picture

Well, to most guys, Prom is GAY! It is an excuse to be bored all night while you stand there, uncomfortable in a tux. BUT NOT ME! I went with my partner Fred McNuggies. As we locked arms and went through the doors of the prom, everyone's jaws dropped. We didn't care what other people thought. We looked fabulous and they were just jealous!! Then, long story short, i danced all night long and was the first guy to win Prom Queen!!!

Well, I searched day and night trying to find the perfect dress. I found a pink gown that gave me a great figure. Then me and my hunk boyfriend Brad got into a pink limo and went to the prom. I went up and received Prom Queen. Then i FELL down and i tripped coming off the stage! But, thankfully, Brad, being amazing as he is, hovered over to me and we jumped on a white unicorn (which made my dress glisten) and rode into the moonlight. Then we lived on a cloud and lived happily ever after. DId i mention that Brad was a Prince?

One night, all of my closet friends and I rented a limo. All of us had boyfriends at the time and it worked out for the best. When we arrived, there was slow dancing happening. Then suddenly, the lights shut off. We went to the hotel room that we rented and stayed there. Josie wanted to stay behind. Then, when i went upstairs, I saw her bloody corpse on MY bed!!! HOW RUDE! Then i ran down to complain to the front desk about my bloody sheets. When i got back to my room. My recently deceased friend's boyfriend was next to her, dead ON MY BED! HOW RUDE AGAIN! Then i went down to the dance to dance with my boyfriend. My other friend Kiesha went down to the basement to smoke a jay. Then i went to find her and her neck was sliced on the stash! HOW RUDE! She could have DIED SOMEWHERE ELSE THEN ON THE STASH! Then the stupid killer went after me. Then i killed him on the my friend's bed. EAT THAT!\

And i was planning to go to prom alone. I wanted to ask this one guy, but i was too scared. Then as i was about to board my Honda Passport, a long stretch limo appeared in front of my house. I was wondering what was going on. Then my crush's head poped out of the top window and invited me inside. It was only him and me. He had planned this for such a long time. As i entered the dance, everyone voted for Prom Queen. As it turned out, I won Prom Queen as well. It was the greatest time of my life.

at first, everything seems ordinary..we just talked then laughed.. but when the romantic song played, one of my crush-mate stand, he walks to our table then pick me up.. i didn't expect it! we we're the first ine to dance in the middle of the dance floor.. we're very close to each other that we danced cheek to cheek while hugging.. it takes a couple of minutes to make others dance with us.. we are the sweetest pair! everybody said.. i saw some of my teachers talking about us.. one of our teacher said that we must kiss.. omg!! we just looked to each other then smile! i just hug him.. i am the only one he dance with.. how sweet..:)

i got a really extremely big crush on my batch mate. they said he knew that i like him. so when junior prom came and i saw him carrying a boquet of roses, i was thrilled!!! he came nearer and nearer and i can't help assume that the toses are for me... he came very close enough to me.. took one last step and gave the roses to the girl beside me... that's soo heart breaking and since that night, i swore i won't have any crushes any more.

everybody our prom was the best ever and no one can beat it us had lovely dresses and that a bet yous all had jeans and tracky bottoms on so go and fuck ya mars i h8 yous all you stink of shite

Well I will rue the day when i get my revenge on the person that ruined my prom night. It was going great at first. Then Chad came. My date said she was going to the bathroom and she was gone awhile, so I started to look for her. Then I found my prom date and Chad making out in the corner! I spent $262 on all of the stuff I bought! My prom was ruined and i punced chad in the face

It started of badly (rubish) but then every one was dancing and making jokes.we kept on having really annoying power cuts/but the best bit was when me and my mates turned up in a streached hummer and made these two twins jelous when they turned up in a limo(BORING!!!).it was great at the moment im at hugh christie and on the way home a year elleven punched me in the arm six times!SO MY 20 YEAR OLD BROTHER AND 18 YEAR OLD BROTHER ARE GOING TO PAY HIM A VISIT.LOL.

All you from Pennsbury High School, we from Racine don't care if you think your prom is the best. If you think its better, talk about it on a site about YOUR prom, not on ours. You might have all those articles about yours, but we have a movie, so stop trying to compete.

Racine's prom is a nice event for the local high school students. It's quite original, and only happens once a year. This website, I'm sure, wasn't created to be a competition with other high schools, just to show one neat thing that one community does for its high school students. It's not a competition, just something that we Racinians are proud of. It's not a contest.

Pennsbury has been on the news numerous times and has been voted best prom in america numerous times by numerous magazines. There has been a book on the prom called Wonderland. People come into prom a bunch of different and cool ways. We have the best themes, decorations, and location...our own school! We're so proud of our proms because it is hands down America's Best Prom. And we have plenty of proof.

pennsbury is all over here! pennsbury made it into Rolling Stone. how can you beat that?

Wow. There are almost as many Pennsbury stories as Racine stories on here. Maybe it should tell you something.

honestly how can you top a book about your prom found at any B&N, john mayer performing, and serious news crews televising your prom live!? racine doesn't have anything on pennsbury high school's prom. everything is decorated by the students and with preparations beginning months in advanced!? fire trucks, ambulances, official eagles fan bus (i arrived in in 2007), and many other vehicles. people who arrive in limos are nearly frowned upon. PHS prom is and always will be the worlds best prom.

i love mine it was a dream come true

my prom was the bom and at first i was realy scared but then i wasnt until my bestfriend got me a drink and was sitting at the table waiting for then she gave me my drink and my chair fell back and i spilled my drink al over me and my date just laughed and i cried but even then that i had alot of fun!

My Prom Night Was So Awesome That I Had To Sleep For Three Days After It Cause I Had So Much Fun I'm Now Broke As Ever But I Think It Was Worth It Cause That Day Can Never Come Agine It's A Memorie Of A Life Time.

Walter Ramsey

BEST prom EVER . . . music was by Dave Brubeck. My date was handsome, and the food was excellent. The only thing that can top my prom was my wedding day.

OMG, prom was so awesome. That was the best day of my life. I wish I could do it all over again. Everyone looked so beautiful. That is a memory that will last for a lifetime. It was expensive but it was so worth it. My dress was $400 and my hair cost $150. I didn't care I had so much fun. Man I want to go next year too.

I had the most awesome time at post prom. The limo ride, the adoring onlookers, it was great!! I would never give up those memories for anything!!

t

We had the best prom ride ever! A real fire truck with sirens and lights. it was the greatest way to arrive and lots of fun driving to it.

My prom was the bestestestest prom i have ever been to. It was like so fun like im dead serious. SOme girls have the choice to go with there love or with there friend. I went with my besstestest friend and his name was Jimmy Starps he is the bomb diggity. My prom dress was from some cheap place it was black and yellow and was ONLY 2 DOLLARS such a great deal. Instead of being all expensive and buying some dress with diamonds on it. Also, it costing like 5000 dollars and getting it dry cleaned and all that. My bestestest friend got his suit for ONLY $2.50!!!! The only bad part was he ended up leaving and forgott me so i road home with some guy from a different school!!!! It sucked really bad. I had no clue who it was....!!!!! :(

it sucked. plain and simple... i invited a girl i liked, who said she liked me. well she refuses to have me pick her up at her house. in stead we meet at some kids house for pictures. then we go to the prom. she doesnt want to dance at all... so she runs around all night with my camera and didnt talk to me at all. i was nice enough tho to take her home and go to friendlys. for the whole thing... tux, flowers ( half of which i didnt give her) ticket, and dinner... i shelled out $262.... FOR NOTHING.... everyone else went, danced had a good time.. and what happend to me.... it sucked.... and I HATE HER because of it. btw i go to an all guys school so like, we had to invite girls to it... so basically it was MY PROM and she Ruined it. RUINED IT!!!!!!!!!!!

So it started out at 9 with my hair app....then i went home and relaxed with the girls all days!!!!! then about 4 we started the make up...then at 6 we girls headed out to the park and meet the guys..parents took pictures ect ect.... then at 7 the white horse drawen carrages came to pick each couple up....we had 9 carages!!!!!! they took us to supper and we went to the restaurant Chillies then headed off to the dance....showed up in style..got lots of complaments...then dance time...senior year was tee best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

go case ,yeah case high school is the best baby 07,07,07,07,07,07,baby,yea i was lookin good

Prom of 2008 will rock... i mean we're practically going to remember this for the rest of our lives! WE are part of an election that will change the course of history. i mean... a white WOMYN and an AFRICAN AMERICAN MAN. this is too awesome!!!!

we live on a farm and decided to take pics out on the field and the first thing that happened was my date stepped in a cow pie and we hired a professional photgrapher and one of our bulls got loose and while we were taking the pictures he went ape...ripped my dress so i was standing in my THONGGG! WHILE PICTURES WERE BEING TAKEN! ...now you can just imagine the end result of the photos oh and i left out the part where the bull bucked and kicked my bf in the head and then trampled the photgrapher...two were in the hospital with severe head injuries...and my prom was ruined! BEAT THAT YOU WHINERS!

Kirkum Hey girl so i heard you havnt had a high school prom yet well if you come to wilson we can goto gether

hey kristen so I didnt even get any votes for my prom

I had the best time of my life

my prom sucked, didn't win prom queen, didn't see my date all night, and all of my friends were being bitches

Simply stated. Pennsbury Prom is the best ever. It seriously is the best in the nation. It was in readers digest and all and voted as Best Prom in the Nation.

My prom is in two days I cant wait because I know It is going to be great!

my prom was the best you Know Why cus i was there

I HAVE NOT HAD A PROM YETT=[

The year of my 2006-2007 prom my boyfriend(date) and I took a 1997 Mustang it was an old car and belonged to my great-grrandfather. As we were driving up the lane to the walk-through entrance the car broke down in front of hundreds of people! As i got out of the car and the men were pushing the car to the side to work on it, my date shut my dress in the door and i fell right on my back. It was the most embarrasing thing in my life!

i had a great time an di enjoyed dancing all night long with my lil man thaddeus.

Well, gals & guys. While our prom was not extreme or lavish it was a lot of fun! Several of my friends and I got together and went "stag" to our senior prom. We stayed long enough to get our pic taken together, then race home, change clothes, and then hit the road to cruise the neighboring towns (not much to do in a small town w/ population of 2100!). We had (or let it seemed that way) a terrific night and then topped it off with the Senior breakfast around 4:00a.m. One of the very few nights our parents didn't give us a curfew during our young adult lives. It's NOT all about getting drunk, having sex and doinig stupid things -- it's about enjoying life at its purest form, folks!

it sucked. really bad

Before my prom even started i was ditched by ELIZABETH ROACH!!!!!!!!!!!!! She told me several weeks before my prom that she did not want to go with me and go with her mates! Ermmm Beth found it funny that she ditched me and started 2 swear about it to peers in the school

a month before prom after everything was paid off my date decided he didnt "feel" like going anymore.

to get marry and have fund get lifetime

My Prom was small, yet nice not to many kids got to graduate that year. My date jennifer Ernst and i had a ball we went with the theme of the 40's she wore a beautiful evening gown, and of course i went with classic Zoot suit to top it off! Jennifer was the best dressed Lady of the evening! She by nature is a party animal we were the first couple to dance that night and the last to leave! Proms are the best and i recommend that everyone go it will be a chance of a lifetime that npbody should miss! -chris bennett R. Rex Parris High School Class of 2005

It was held at the Eglin Air Force Base Officer's Club. How was it? Well I can only tell you about the first couple of hours, if that much. I wasn't there that long. Just long enough to take pictures that told my parents "yeah I was there". We did the usual, dinner, prom, after party. My after-party was at the Howard Johnson on the Island, only 2 in attendance :) The dinner and the sex after were the best parts. I could have done without the prom. The music sucked, most of my friends had graduated, or didn't come. It was cool I didn't have to worry about a curfew my mom was cool about Graduation and Prom night. I didn't have to be home till noon the next day. Oh and my boyfriend was in the Air Force with his own apartment. SWEET! So it was good, the memories still make me smile. I'm one of the fortunate people. I got to go with someone special to me and I still get to wake up next to him everyday.

when my mom and dad was a teenage they went to the prom and they have lot of fun and they have lot of good picture at the prom

My prom date was almost two hours late to picking me up at my house (he was in Oshkosh at a rubgy tournament)! We were supposed to be Downtown Milwaukee at 5:30 because the Grand March started at 6:00. He didn't get to my house until almost 5:30. We snapped and a few pictures and then he sped all the way downtown, and we some how made it before 6:00, and were luckily able to still participate in the Grand March. To this day I don't let him forget our prom!!

Prom is coming up! May 4th, I'm only a sophmore but, I got asked by a special somebody, so yeah can't wait :) It's going to be awsome !

well... prom was reall cool except i pushed my date down the escalators and he broke his nose.. then as he was falling down he knocked another girl over and and she hit her head on the ground and had to go to the ospital.. shes dead now.. instant brain damage...sucks.. real bad...

heh, there's one thing I know, gotta take what's given. there's been a city bus, an elephant, a lowrider, a bleepin' tank...add to that an overheated pickup...I had to bum a ride on the back of a friend's ford pickup, and wouldn't ya know it the engine overheated a little bit after we made it downtown. a couple fellas gave us a push the rest of the way. eh well, aint nothin, I figured I'd make the best of it. one thing that I figure beats a one-school prom, fi you got friends that went to another school and you aint seen em in a while, walk around a bit, you might run into em. heh, lemme just say I got hooked into the karaoke tent most of the night, haha. Case '01 what's good bubba!

it was so embarrasing i made up this so cool dance to show it off at the prom. when the dJ played my song i started to get my groove on i notest people were loking at me i thought it was because of the dance i made up then my friend came and zipped up my dress what they were looking at was my uncovered red braw and underwear.

it rocked!

it was awesome

My junior prom had to be the best and the worst day of my life......i will start with why it was so great. i got to get up put on make-up and a really expensive dress along with getting pampered all day i felt like a princess!!!!!.....now comes the worst i hated my date he was so rude he stayed on his cell phone the whole entire time and it's like he didn't even notice me on top of that my dad drove us how horrifying is that.......but anyway i am a senior now and it's senior prom so i have decided to go with a really cool guy friend we will probably hang out at prom for a minute and then leave (no one stays at prom the whole night anyway) lol!! i really want to go bowling or something after but until then chow!!!!!!

i wasn't there, i didn't go, you didn't notice i didn't show, met in a field with the geeks and nerds and laughed out loud, how absurd. what was that song, how did it go? "when I was seventeen..."

I agree with Kirk from Pennsbury we have books an MTV show and the greatest prom ever. Ours is in our school and you have to go to Pennsbury to go it isnt a joint school deal People from other schools are luck to get into our prom. We start booking our awesome rides months and years before prom cuz you cant come in just anything and you want to top all of the year befores ideas we usually don't even tell people outside of the group your sharing a ride with what your taking so you can have the most outrageous also they have tours of the inside of our school because people cant believe the amazing decorations that transform our school into a Wonderland come check us out this join MTV has.....

my prom was amazing i just wish my date reaklly knew how i felt i kind off shrugged her off to dancew it everyone and just party. i never neglected her but i feel to this day that i messed up my chance to ever show her that she means something to me now were just good friends

Went to pick up my sleek black tux at the rental place to find out they messed up the order and was left with an ugly brown one.But my date did look hot that night. We had a ball seeing so many people I had grown up with but went away to other schools. At 6:00am went we left,we drove to" the point" to park and listen to music,I left the radio on and my battery went dead.Had to walk on the golf course to find someone to give me a jump.2 guys helped me get it started. My date was still asleep with her dress all bunched up:>

hehehe...my prom?!it was the worst prom i have ever had!..it sucks!...

i fell down the stairs and broke my leg everyone laughed at me

My prom sucked...but whatev...First of all my hair looked major sucky...I cried and cried because I spilled juice on my white dress and then everyone asked me if I was high because my eyes were puffy. Also, I rolled my ankle on my heels when walking down grand march. Then, to top it all off, I had sex for the first time ever and 9 months later out popped little Promenade. Well, top that. Thanks Tina!

well, i do not have enough moneyto buy my desired gown,,, so sad bout that!!!

I Arrived in a beautiful boiler suit. It was a bomb to buy. It was $5. It took my dad four years to save up for it. I was definately the best looking there. I arrived in a tractor! SO FETCH

OHHHH IM SO BIGHEADED AND I HAVE THRUSH

MINE WAS FUN

Prom was a blurrrrrr...... saved Natalis life from falling off of the platform stage... best prom you can have in racine or anywhere else for that matter.

i had so muc fun in iowa for my prom but i thought that i was not going to go becouse i lot alot of my things in hurrican katrina.

THis school does NOT have the best prom. Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, PA has the best prom. Readers DIguest and USA Todayt have created mupital articles on our prom. We also had JOHN MAYER prefrom at are prom. so Racine think twice about your prom cuase PHS is #1

A week before the prom was New Year's EVe. I went to a party with the boy I had been dating for a while. When midnight hit....people gave each other little kisses. Nothing major. But my boyfriend got upset and so the following week we went to our prom. I had an orange, one shoulder dress made (1966) and looked very different and he was the Senior President and I was the Junior Cheerleader. He NEVER danced with me. He danced with a girl named Jill while her boyfirend, Kurt, and I sat there at a table the entire night. He was a jerk. I pity whoever married this guy. He never talked about it to me.

well i looked stunning i felt like a real princess i was awarded prettiest girl and i was so proud adn it was mentioned on this site by someone that gold dresses are hideous well you should of seen mine love it was to die for I had it customised with diamanties on it it was beautiful with a long trail.I arrived in a horse and carriage with the best looking boy from school aswell : ) what can i say im real lucky

BUT I WOULD LOVE TO GO WIT A GUY SO ME AND MY GUY CAN TAKE PROM PIC TOGEATHER..I ALREADY PLAN ON TAKING PICS WIT MYGURLS.....

My junior year for prom I didn't know what ride to take. So I was talking to my Uncle Bo and he started talking about hte new skidder they had bought and it would be arriving around the time of prom. Well, it arrived the day before prom. My brother drove me and my date through the prom walk with a swing attached to the front of the blade. It was the best ride there. Know i have to figure out what I'm gonna take this year.

i havent had my prom yet but im planning already and its december now and my prom isnt till july lol. i have been looking in lots of places and i just cant find my perfect prom dress, the boy im goin with want to wear gold and cream which sounds nice but the gold dresses i have seen are hideous. hahahaha

Our theme is going to be "Jungle Love." I'm somewhat terrified allthough the posibilities for humourous costumes are endless. If my boyfriend wasn't set on wearing his kilt, I would love to have him in a leopard-print bowtie and loin cloth, lol.

It was my junior year and I remember shopping for my prom gown with my mother. I finally chose a light blue gown which my mother said showed off my blue eyes! I went to the prom with one of the sweetest guys in my class -- what a magical evening!

Heyy, my name is Sandra. I had the best prom last year. A lot of my friends and i all were turning 20 or 21,i that fact i turned 21 in That April so you know i was drinking. I was proim queen. I had the prettiest make-up hair and and clothes i was hott

Hey Anonymous, Don't worry about it, my boyfriend lives in Ireland, i flew him over to the UK for my prom!

I haven't had my prom yet... ha ha but when it finally comes i would love to go with this guy im crazy in love with! we've been talking for months now and we are both mad about each other!! The only problem is that he lives in PE south Africa and im all the way in Cape Town!! How much does that suck!!!!! We'll just have to make a plan... won't we?......

the year of 1994 in december i had my biggest prom every i was the prettiest one out there i took a lot of pic it was very fun so please other kids who haven't been to your jounouir hight prom have a good time

Prom '06 was the most fun I've ever had in my entire life! It was actually my new boyfriend's prom, and it was perfect. I spent the whole night playing with him. We only danced one time, to a slow song. I was too focused on the way I felt in his arms to notice what was playing, but it was great anyway. We walked around for a while. Then, we sat in front of this huge window and I fell asleep (but, I was still awake. Yeah, it's strange but true.) while he looked at me and played in my hair. That was the first time he'd ever seen me with my hair straight down. I guess he liked it. Anyway, we went out and had a great time, and even though we had to end the night early, I'll never, ever forget it. He and I still talk about it sometimes. I went to my first prom with the love of my life, and I couldn't be happier.

My prom this year was pretty awesome. I had asked one (really awesome) girl, gotten a no, and then ran out of time to ask anyone else (I do quite a bit of behind-the-scenes work at school, even though I'm a student). I was also on the board of directors for the prom committee, as the head of Electronics and Special Effects. Through equipment owned by the school and some that I have myself, I was able to set up an awesome sound system and lights in the gym, complementing our "Rumble in the Jungle" theme quite well. This included combining a fog machine, strobe lights, and sound effects to make a mock thunderstorm. I had a great time even though I didnt have a date. Our music was a combination of different songs played from a computer (the DJ wasnt that great though, mainly because he is one of my classmates and doesnt know how to do that stuff), and live performances of the band that I play drums in. But anyway, theres not much else. Hoping to get a date next year (however, I dont look forward to the thing itself, as next years junior class is not very organized nor creative). A final note? Well, though from what I've seen having a date can be awesome, it can be just as fun without one depending on how you take the situation. Me, I just accepted the inevitable and had fun.

i cant wait till prom...its gonna be soo much fun!!!!!WHooooooo!!!!!

its good

I had an absolute blast at prom. Not only was I head of Prom Committee so I got to the hotel since 2pm for a 7pm start, I had the best date ever who danced every slow with me. Everyone had so much fun and the food was great. We all had a blast!

my prom was mad fun. i was told on the last day of school that they saw a different person. i waz also told that i could dance mad good. i waz so happy.

I had asked 13 girls and gotten 13 nos. On the morining of the day of the prom back in '65, I walked into a shoe store selling stuff door-to-door. There stood a tall, good looking Danish blond with a sexy accent who was buying low shoes so she could go to the prom with some guy who had always treated her poorly. Well that took about 30 minutes to change. We walked out of there together, cooked up a story to tell that guy, got tickets from the principal, borrowed money from an English teacher and made all the arrangements at the last minute. Three bands at the post prom, fooling around in the balcony, seeing that guy there with another date, the next day at Brown's lake. Wow, what memories. It was the start of a wonderful relationship. I wonder where she is now.

I had an awesome time at prom.It

yeyah prom for me was the best mean d

racine's prom for me was blown out of proportions. my school was scheduled to arrive last to post prom which sucked because we didn't get there till around 1 and by that time the lines for all the activites were too long and the food was either gone or cold. my date was lame, he didn't want to do anything there. after prom we went to the dells for a couple of nights and then to six flags. the days after prom were more fun than prom itself. It is exciting that racine puts on this prom-extravaganza, but after that, there really isn't anything left for racine. the only thing we're known for is prom and the johnson family. now looking back to my prom 3 years ago, i wish i would of done everything differently, especially changing my date.

i havent had my prom yet im just a freshman

Wow...did prom go by fast or is it just me!? Seems like just yesterday that i got my dress and stuff. But i had a blast and i wouldn't have wished for a better time!! Not only did i go with the love of my life but i also went with cassifer and ryan...the other loves of my life!! :) But i went and got my hair done at 12 and then went home and got dressed and make-uped. Chris came to get me at 3 and we went to chris's g-mas for some pictures of just us two. Then we went to my house where we got our group pictures done. My family takes forever to do pictures. So good thing me and chris got there 20 mins before everyone else came over. But then we went to Olive Garden to eat. It was very yummy. Then we came back to my house because that's where the firetruck was getting us. So at 7:30 the truck came to get us and wow...was the ride on the truck a blast!! My hair was blowing so much and i thought that it was going to fall out. But it was fun to sit there and have people watch us. I felt special. But then when we got to horlick [i didn't know this...] but people actually sat down at prom like post prom. So when me and Chris got off the firetruck we got so many pictures taken. I didn't even know have the people. But i got this picture from one of the parents that took one and she said i look like a movie star. She told me how nice i looked that day [that day?! how rude... lol] and i was just smiling so much and the pic is funny. It looks like i amn walking down the red carpet in hollywood or something. haha. But wow...did the horlick part ever go by so fast!! We went to get our pics done and then we danced the night away at horlick. We left horlick around 10:30 i think. But we didn't actually walk into prom until 11:30. It was raining to so hard at the time so me and angela [the other girl on the truck] rode in the front of the firetruck so we didn't get wet. Our dates rode in the back but put on the fireman stuff so they didn't get wet. [it didn't work to well though...lol] but we got down to post prom and like no one was left to watch us walk in becaue it was cold and rainy. It sucked. But that's ok. So when i got on TV i showed my sign. The announcers said it was the best sign of the night. I felt special!! :) But i had a BLAST at prom. I visited the food tent of course too. It wasn't to shabby. Prom was nothing like i expectede it to be..it was so much better. So we danced the night away. We ended up leaving prom about 2:30AM. The group plus some members slept at chris's. We pretty much crashed when we got to his house. We were all so exhausted. Then the next day we went to six flags. I think the longest line we waited in was 10 mins for superman. It was walk on and ride for all the rides. It was fun. We went on about everything a few times. Me and chris took tons of pictures [which i will post a lot in a blog!! so look...it will be coming soon] we took them with the looney toon characters too. it was fun. But we left six flags at 7:30 'cuz it closed around 8sih or so. Then a bunch of us slept in ILL at a hotel. It was fun. We went and got some snakcs and then went swimming and what not. But then we woke up the next morning [monday] and had their continental breakfast...wasn't to bad...then walked around Gurnee Mall for a good 3 hours. We saw some pretty cool animals in one of the shops. I didn't buy anything. Spent so much money on prom i was flat broke. But we got back to chris's house around 3. I spent some time there...napped for a good hour and a half, and finally went back to my house around 7:30. But overall prom was good. I wish i took more pics at post prom but i just was having so much fun. I would like to make a shout out to Ryan who made me laugh most of the night with his "awesome" dance moves. Cassie who is my best friend and well...we were rubbin' boobs almost the whole time we were dancing because we were so close, literally. And last but not least, Chris, i wouldn't even have went if it wasn't for you. I couldn't ask for a better prom date/boyfriend and i had so much fun and i love you more than anything in the world!

I have 2 say my prom was nothing like a pictured it would be. First off my rental car that i was suppose to take to prom was hit!!! My mom got into an accident the day before prom and than I was stuck going to prom with someone i didnt wanna go with. It turned out fine though we looked so tight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have to say that this years prom was amazing! The decorations at horlick were beautiful... at the very least much better than last year! I had a blast with my 3 best friends- elmo, bates, and heidi... and was exactly how i hoped to end my highschool years!

Well I didn't get to go to prom at all and I didnt graduate in racine (did go to case for my freshman year) But I am from Racine...It was just exciting to go down to the lake and watch them come in...seeing all the diffirent cars fire trucks yellow hummers!!! GO CASE EAGLES!!!!!! But just being able to go to the lake was exciting it was just as much a party outside than inside!!!!!

My sophomore year of high school (2004), my best friend, Brian Quinn, asked me to prom. His friends, Laurie Pearce, Holly Commadore, and Mindy Chambers, all decided to make a float for a unique entrance. For weeks, hard work was put into the making of this huge float, and by the time prom rolled around, we were all excited and ready to go. "A Walk In The Park" was written on the side, and we all sat on benches with fake grass underneath, and white fences surrounded us. It was a good time, and our float even made it to the front page of the paper!

well it was a fun night my date won prom king at case so we were all over talkin to ppl and stuff and dancing was soo much fun! idk what else to say cept it was such a blast!

Walden High School, Racine Wisconsin. It was 1992 and My first date dumped me( he was from Horlick) a few days before prom so I ended up taking my last choice. My dad had decorated his new car with baloons and streamers, my dress was red, an ok hand me down from a friend. My date and I arrived at the country club for dinner and afterwards dad took us and a few of my dateless friends over to the festival hall. We were the very first school to arrive, but no one seemed to care. We had booze and there was dancing and photos taken. My fondest memoey of prom was losing the prom queen vote by one and ditching my date afterwards to party in a hotel in milwaukee. Oh yea and having sex with my friend Tom!!

when a guy I saw in the pictures of my teachers prom book and this guy was really cute so I went to prom with this guy and he told me he didnt judge girls so when we got to prom I danced with this guy named wilt he was so fine and we had alot of fun on prom night

hey I went ot the prom at virginia high school the year of 2006 and had alot of fun to the guy that I danced with was so cute and I just had a great time with him love ashley robinson

Upon walking into my prom, my principal caught me and my friends with pocession of "illegal liquids", we spent 2 hours with the authorities and the principal, and were sent home. So no senior prom and my graduation is questionable. Life sucks.

I had a prom this year I went with my boyfriend named albert. We had the best time of our life.

My boyfriend wasnt able to go to prom with me beacuse he had "too many absences", so i had to ask my friend that went to Lawrence Univr. from Oregon to go with me. He couldnt belive what a big deal our prom was. He didnt even go to his, so it was really fun. But he didnt have a suit er anything so we had to search my friends parents closet and we came up with a white and black checked suit jacket. It fit him perfectly!

My boyfriend had been bragging for weeks about the great suit he bought for prom instead of a tuxedo. I didn't see it until he picked me up that night, and I just about fell through the floor when I realized his suit was CHECKED! He even had tri-color shoes to match! I tried not to show my feelings about his suit, and when we slow danced, I closed my eyes and imagined he was wearing a tux like EVERYONE ELSE! I just loved him too much to take away his enjoyment of the evening. While our school's portion of the parade waited until our turn to merge (the police closed the roads for us), we had time for some romance in the car. The big band at Memorial Hall that year was Looking Glass (Brandy - You're a Fine Girl), and it was great. We got really tired, but didn't want to leave, so we snuck up to the balcony and fell asleep in the chairs until we were allowed to leave at 6:00 a.m. We're still together, 32 years later, with 2 grown daughters, but I have never forgiven him for wearing that suit!

Prom was cool!! I wasent all cool but it was nice especialy casue it was at the Queen Mary in Long Beach CA.(ay muy chingon in the Queen Mary) But what suck the dance floor was small. But it was still worth going since we are only a senior once in high school. Music was cool it was better when they put Mexican music;norteñas haha you could see lots of people dance eveing black people. But it was VERY VERY fun great view when we went outside and saw the city in the night

we got Mooned by some strangers while driving to prom!

my prom was HORRIBLE!! my x had a GORGEEOUS date, I fell TWICE down the stairs, o the 2nd time spilling RED punch all ver my gold dress, i will never live it down!!LOL

I attended Walden III High School in Racine, WI. It's an alternative school, very small in size compared to Park, Case, and Horlick. Our Senior Class decided not to have a prom at the school, so we instead had dinner as a group at the Racine Country Club. I was elected Prom Queen and Joe Cycenas was elected Prom King. We all headed to the Post Prom after dinner (Walden was the first school scheduled to arrive). The funniest prom memory I have is recalling when Joe (the King) & I walked in and realized we were LITERALLY the first people to enter the 1992 Post Prom at Festival Hall... We laughed so hard. It ended up being a lot of fun for Walden Post Prom goers to have the entire place to ourselves for about 20 minutes until some of the other schools started to arrive. The whole night was a blast! A very fond memory that I will always remember.

I went with my BRO'S best friend, and it was off the hook!!!!!!!! Now he is my Babie's Daddy!!!!!!!!!!

I've always been an indie rocker. My senior year of high school, 'Titanic' was sailing through the box offices, and that damned Celine Dion song was at the top of the charts. I knew it was going to be the song for the last dance, and I dreaded it. My prom theme? Morissey's "Hang the DJ." On the bright side, my date was as much of a geek as I was, so instead of languishing on the dancehall with the other kids, we sat outside and he pointed out constellations to me. That was rad!

I was slow dancing with my boyfriend and this other couple bumped into us and my boyfriend stumbled and riped my 2 peice dress off he laughed for a second intil he noticed what he did then hurried and put his jacket around me and took me home i cried for hours were still together and happy no matter how much people bother us about it.

I went with my ex-boyfriend's best friend and regretted not being with him the whole time. Big events like this are never what you think they're going to be.

My best friend moved to England with her family because of her dad's job. They're coming back this summer, but her family is flying her in for one day only just so she can come to Racine's prom! Is that unreal or what?! She may not be able to graduate with our class, but at least she'll be able to walk down the red carpet with us. She's flying in Saturday afternoon and flying home Sunday afternoon. It's crazy, but we're going to have so much fun.

My School Ball was a disaster but incrediblt funny in retrospect - There was a catfight at my table, the Belle and Beau voting was rigged, the best couple award broke up 2 relationships because the best couple were not a couple, the food was horrible and to matters worse the Principal got drunk and peed in a pot plant. My school were never permitted to use the same Hotel (Observation City) ever again.

My best friend went to her prom the year after mine. Her dress wasnt ready so she wore my prom dress. We looked like twins. But I was glad to come through for her.

I didn't do my hair or nails or makeup or wear nylons or anything, but I felt like a movie star on the red carpet- cameras flashing, people cheering us on it was fantabulous!!!

no one's prom could be better than mine was, sorry. our theme was the golden oldie song "Friends in Low Places" by Garth Brooks, and we had decorations at the dance of hay bales, a windmill and a water tank. that's true. now the whole world knows.

we had a bomb scare at our prom

I never had a prom.

Even though I am a senior at Case this year, I went to Park's prom last year with a good friend. It was by far the best night of my life. We all met a friend's house to take pictures outside and then we drove to a restraunt. From there, we were picked up in a maroon limo and driven to Park High School, where, when we exited the limo, a teacher read our names off of a card. There were families on either side of the entry way. After a few hours of dancing at Park, we went outside and got back into the limo to arrive at Festival Hall around 10. Since someone on prom court was in our limo, we were some of the first people from Park to arrive. The walk in was amazing. We walked down a red carpet with hundreds of people on either side, cheering for us, some of them had signs. Then we walked inside past two television cameras. This is where everyone waves and says hello to their parents and friends. After that, I dropped off my shoes and purse at the coat check and went in. One of my friends from St. Cat's was waiting (she had seen me coming in on a large projection screen) and we went to check things out. In the center of the spacious Festival building, there is a dance floor and even an elevated stage for dancing, with several projection screens for music videos and to see the live TV broadcast. Outside, there was a moonbounce, lazer tag, and two special moonbounces (one gladiator style, where you used padded poles to knock your opponent off of a post and the other you wrestled your friends while wearing velcro suits). Once you walked past that, you entered the food tent, where there were tables of gourmet food and there was even an ice sculpture. Also in this tent, people could sing karaoke if they wanted to. The purpose of Racine's post prom is to keep kids from going to after parties. It is a pretty good idea. You can stay at post prom until 3 am. Once my group left, we went to a friend's house and watched a movie before falling asleep. In the morning, a few moms made us breakfast and the seniors in our group got ready to go to the Dells, which is another Racine prom weekend tradition. I cannot wait for my senior prom this year!

Prom was pretty tight. I just find it odd that the "world's best prom" actually takes place in Racine, Wisconsin. There are so many things you can do at prom and the food tent.....don't even get me started on that. You usually see the typical movie prom scene where you dress up and go to your school for the dance...yes we do that first but post prom is awesome. To have every high school in Racine meet up the party the rest of the night is a GREAT idea. I'm wondering though why people who are not from Racine and didn't go to this prom are writing their prom stories on this site? I'm sorry but your prom sucked so please take your pathetic stories elsewhere!

I don't think you made a big eough deal out of what really matters at prom. What you drive up in! I went to prom four times, and each year we went in something super awesome and crazy! I think the movie made Racine seem like we're all hicks, and can't afford an awesome prom. When in reality prom costs about a thousand dollars for a girl, if she goes all out!

Prom was fun, yet totally overrated. By the time the big, over-hyped SENIOR prom arrived, my date ditched me to make out with my cousin.

This year is going to be especially crazy since we're State Champs. My freshman year Rachel Clum and Chad Leonard came in on a swing this year is Chad's younger brother's turn and We're expecting something completely new. It has to be becasue It's hard to top a swing.

ME AND THE BOYS ROLLED UP ON THREE WHEEL BIKES WITH STREAMERS... 1ST IN LINE FOR CASE HIGH SCHOOL CUZ MY BOY TOM TUTTLE WAS THE PROM KING!! STEVE BARNES, TOM TUTTLE, KRIS NIELSEN AND JESSE BOOKER IN LIME GREEN AND PURPLE, PURPLE AND WHITE, BABY BLUE AND CANARY YELLOW RESPECTIVELY.... EXCELLENT NIGHT!! I MISS CASE HIGH SCHOOL FOR SURE!

prom is a time to just wish and get totally excited about.it has it's stressful points, mainly for girls. But it is worth it in the end after you look back on the fun you had. i mean that is all that prom is anyway. a night of partying because you close to your ending year or two years of high school.

Prom....I would have to say that my Prom was the best part of my senior year. Althought most everything was great my senior year prom was amazing. You waited 4 years to be at the prom and the night flies by...but what a great time. Post Prom was the most exciting part, you can be with all your friends from every high school in Racine which was great. I'm very excited to see this movie...I'll never forget Prom...It was great!

Post Prom in Racine was awesome! Our school was one of the first to arrive in the line up which was nice, got to beat the crowds that arrived later as well as watch them all comming in. That night truely makes everyone feel like a star. From walking the red carpet with cheers from friends and family, to the food, fun, and music. It was truely a night not many of us will soon forget!

Prom in Racine has to be seen to be believed. Even back in 1985, the massive crowds, the imagination that went into the vehicles, the clothes, not to mention all of those FLASHES in your face made it a night that made an incredible impression on even the most popular kids in school (not that I was). To the contrary, you could've been a nobody, a complete nobody and on that night you felt like a star. Let's take a glance at how MY night went: 9 Couples, 3 limos, alcohol in the trunk, and a hotel run by some proprietors that apparently were fooled by a cheesy 17 year old mustache. My date was just a friend, so I think she lost interest early in the night as I wasn't taking her to (then called) Great America the next day (no hard feelings Debbie?). Anyway, by the time we arrived at this over-accomodating, underage-infested hotel, my date had already "left", my friends were somewhere else and to my surprize, upon entering my hotel room, an ex-girlfriend was passed out. So I did what any respectable 17 year old would do, and shut the door behind me and walked around with a bottle of something or other, looking to meet some new friends. Luckily, I met some girls (from a rival school) that were staying down the hall from me that were locked out (by their boyfriends nonetheless), and we talked (really, we just talked) into the wee hours in the morning until I decided that the the very least thing I could do was buy them breakfast across the street at Wendy's. Soon before check-out time, I made my way back to my hotel room to check on my ex, see if she had a pulse (which, she did, or this would be a really crazy story), and try to peice together what had happened the night before so 20 years later I could retell it on a nice website like this. Kinda boring, but some of the good parts were left out of respect or memory loss.

i had a good time at my prom

High school prom in Racine, WI. What can I say? As a high school senior, the prom seemed that magical gateway into adulthood. (If, by adulthood, you mean spending the night post prom in some seedy 27 dollar motel room on the Lake Michigan shoreline somewhere between Racine and Kenosha with 37 of your closest friends and 9 gallons of Mad Dog 20/20, only to follow it up with a gut wrenching day at Six Flags Great America, eating battered grease and proving your worthiness by attempting to win, then carry around, a 7 foot stuffed Roger Rabbit and 3 Chicago Bulls basketballs. Don't forget to throw in one of those ultra realistic "invisible dog leashes". Those are almost mystical.) Wow... wasn't that the mother of all sentences. Anyways, where was I? Of course! Prom... I do have wonderful memories of my Proms. Yes... that's right. I said it. PROMS, baby. Plural. Who here remembers when you could measure your level of coolness in two ways: How man little jingly metals you had on your letter jacket (including all athletes EXCEPT cross country runners... I swear to God they got medals for making it to the bus on time), and how many times you went to Prom. My junior year, I had a senior girlfriend. That's right. Big pimping. By my senior year, I thought it would be old hat, but there really is nothing that can ruin the magic of a Racine style prom. Even after all these years, there is one strange emotion that I still clearly remember about Prom night, that carried through to graduation. I seem to remember that the walls of the high school caste system seemed to crumble that night. It's like all of the sudden, your eyes open up, and you start recognizing people as people, not as the sterotypes that high school so cruelly attaches. When you walk into the downtown prom location, opposing high school students are no longer your mortal enemies, but rather good people. Future college roomates, poker buddies, etc. Why couldn't we have seen this earlier? In all, my prom experiences were fantastic. I'm very proud of the kids from Racine who put this project together. Back in high school, there was no doubt you'd all be successful. Good on you, I say.

I was also part of the Racine prom group of 1987 or 1988. I didn't go to my own Senior prom; I didn't get a date, but I had wanted to go so bad. Years later, my little brother and I managed to wangle some tickets from a guy who wasn't going. Though it would be the 3rd prom he went to, my boyfriend of the time was willing to let me live out my dream. He was a good guy. We had originally picked out some elaborate vehicles: one day we were going on a fire engine, the next day it was a hearse. We finally ended up going with some St. Cat's friends in a hay wagon. The crowds were not as crazy as they are now; they were basically grouped around the main entrance (before Memorial hall got a face lift) and they just screamed when we all alighted from our various vehicles. It was amazing. I wore someone's old size 16 bridesmaid's dress that my friend altered to my size 4. It was baby pink with a 3 tiered hoop. Imagine Belle from Beauty and the beast. The Memorial Hall bash was overwhelming; people all dressed up and so much to do. I vaguely remember mingling and talking and just people watching. For many this was probably one of the first times they dressed up. For me it was the first time in a formal dress. After prom I participated in those screaming mobs years later, taking pictures of friends and egging them on. I've long since moved away from Racine; graduated from college and now working in my career. i've thought of this prom only vaguely and didn't think that anyone celebrated it any differently anywhere else. But after hearing a promo on NPR and asking around, I found out how unique this event truely was. I am even more glad that I made it a point to crash my little brothers prom. Thanks for the memories and th documentary!

I am lucky to be in the Racine prom group. The regular prom at Horlick was decent. Some people sat in the bleachers outside to watch everyones entrance. But the Rotary Prom at Memorial Hall was awesome. Having each school arrive on a schedule, the whole town aware of one of the special nights in your high school days. I remember they borrowed Sam Johnson's 1929 Silver Ghost Rolls Royce as the centerpiece. It was one of three in existance. The entrance to the City wide prom was not as outrageous as recent years but still great. Everyone felt like celebrities because the fans lining the entrance were cheering and aplauding. The cable TV company televised it live and repeated it several times at later dates as well. Locked in until dawn, and then everyone lined the balcony to watch the sunrise over Lake Michigan. Then off to many differant places for the day, including the amusement park and lakes. P.S. By the way, when we were in high school, STYX played at the same hall. They were a local band. At first it was free, then $ 0.50, then $0.93 (radio station #) and we sometimes skipped them because "all they ever do is play LADY". And only a few years later, everyone was paying big bucks to see them after they had made it big.

My sophomore year in high school I went to prom with a friend of mine who was a junior at the cross-town rival high school. We went in a limo with two other couples, who I didn't know. It started out well with dinner at a nice restaurant and then a limo ride to the hotel ballroom where the prom was being held. On the ride there, I started feeling sick - I was having hot and cold flashes and my body was aching - I thought maybe I was getting the flu. Soon after we arrived at the dance (and before we could get pictures taken) I went to into the bathroom and went to blow my nose, what I didn't realize is that my nose was bleeding. So there I am, in the bathroom with a bunch of girls I don't know and I'm bleeding all over my black and white prom dress. My date, meanwhile, has no idea what is going on, and sends one of his friend's dates in to see if I'm okay. She helps me try to get some of the blood off of my dress, to no avail. When I finally walk out of the bathroom most of my makeup is off and the front of my prom dress is wet with red smudges. I try to tough it out for a while more, but I start feeling progressively more and more ill. My date finally has to take me home, and the people that we shared the limo with have to come too, because that is their ride. The next morning I wake up, feeling like crap, my body covered in small bumps. My mom immediately rushes me to the doctor's office, where I'm ushered in through a back entrance and stared at in awe by everyone I come into contact with. From across the room my doctor declares that I have the measles. Because the measles are highly contagious and some of the vaccines given around the mid - late 70's were ineffective, the doctor asks for a list of people I have come into close contact with over the past couple of days. I then tell the doctor that I spent the previous night with most of the junior and senior classes from the high school across town. I was forced to call my date to tell him that he needed to go to his doctor immediately and get a measles vaccination, and the following Monday, the entire student body was rounded up and given measles shots. Needless to say, he didn't ask me to his senior prom.

last year our prom was pretty suck-tacular our after party however was pretty damn great. GO PIRATES GO! we had it in a big field and everyone was [redacted]. HEHEHEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! but not me! i was the good one and helped my friends find the bathroom, one of them sat in pee...

Prom was always the big thing. I went to 5 my senior year and there were many ups and downs but a word of advise for all you young bucks out there, dont drink and drive....get a limo

I had a wonderful and memorable time at my prom. I wore a maroon and black dress with layers and layers of tule. It was totally out of charater for me. My date was my best friend. Our prom tickets were a woping $120 per a couple. We had a horrible experiance at the upscale resturaunt that we ate at. But the night was magical with warm San Diego Weather. We had a great after prom cruising around the bay on a boat.

I was one of the lucky ones to attend Prom in Racine in 1992. I had a date that went to Park High School but I went to Horlick. The night of my prom we took his parent's nice car and the couple we went to the prom with drove behind us. That night it was rainy and as we drove over to Horlick, our friends in the car behind us- ended up hitting us!!! The guy in the other car was trying to change the radio station and was not paying attention- luckily enough there was minimal damage! We continued to the Horlick Prom where hundreds of people waited to see us arrive- it was cool and the prom theme was "Don't you Forget about Me." Interesting theme as while at the Horlick Prom-my date decied it would be a good time to tell me he wanted to break up with me! Yikes!!!! I continued with a fun night anyways and spent most of the night with my good friends. We did continue on over to the Post-Prom downtown and it was a blast! Feeling like a celebrity on the Red Carpet was wonderful for a high school girl! We danced, met up with my friends from other high schools and had a blast!I I had the best time in my $300 dress and despite my date breaking up with me- I made it a night to remember on my own!!!

My senior prom was at the Plaza Hotel. The tickets were an unheard-of $100 each, and I wore a $14 dress. My date and I were friends and the whole year we had been building up to hooking up, but a couple of weeks before the prom he started liking another girl who he eventually dated later. We still went to the prom together and had fun; afterwards we met up with my friends at their uptown apartment. My date was the only person to really get drunk, passed out, and at some point in the middle of the night sleep-walked and attempted to pee in a drawer. Ha ha.

The sun was setting on an awkward evening as we set out on prom night. My date was being quite the gentleman and our friends were being more than supportive under the circumstances. We had both started dating other people within a couple weeks of prom. However we couldn’t bring our respective others as our group of friends were counting on us not to create waves and ruin their plans – the restaurant reservations, limo and other arrangements were all made with our specific group number in mind. When we arrived at the dance, I looked around at the sea of white wedding-like gowns and black taffeta and velvet and found it appropriate then that I was the only one in a red-sequined dress ala Jessica Rabbit. It glinted, alluring and daring, in the Christmas lights and tinsel and with my date in his red-plaid cummerbund and his face beginning to match the color of my dress…I felt like Jezebel.

I didn't go to my prom because I was too shy to ask Sue K. In the end she went with someone who was nerdier than I thought I was, Bruce M. I had to reevaluate my nerd rankings after that. Sue K was the 2nd of 6 sisters. I had crushes on two others but never dated any of them. But their dad became my financial adviser and has done very well for me. Not the most romantic story but it's my prom story and I'm stickin' to it.

I met a lovely lady named Matilda during my junior year at highschool. The next year, I asked her to prom and she accepted. Right after graduation, I proposed marriage to Matilda and she again, accepted. My high school sweetheart and I have been married ever since. I look forward to this movie coming out. I hope there's some sweet stories like ours in it.

There is no doubt that Racine's Rotary has the "BEST POST PROM" anywhere. In '67 it was just Horlick, Case, St. Cat's and Lutheran high schools. I believe Horlick alone had a graduating class of 1200!! Great food, music, etc. Back then, (in the old days) Memorial Hall was locked down and no one could leave without phoning the folks. My date and our friends Linda and John were able to sneak out. We headed over to Dunkin Donuts for coffee and then Wind Point on the beach. Back then, just about every girl wore girdles, and while the guys were getting the coffee and donuts, Linda and I took off our girdles and stuffed them in the glove box. Which my date's dad found the following day! ! ! At sunrise we headed out to Brown's Lake and slept the day away on the beach.........bad burns were had by all! ! ! ! We were extremely lucky to have a very warm day in June for our prom. Wish I hadn't lost my photos in several moves over the years, the hairdos alone would have been good for a great laugh!! AAHH memories !

I went to 4 senior proms (no I did not repeat senior year ... I was invited to 3). But I don't remember any of them. Or the names of my dates. Ooops!

My prom date was so excited about taking me that he ran the first redlight we came up to - thus demolishing his mother's brand new Saab. I assumed the cop would think we had been drinking because it was prom (we hadn't, yet) so I asked "aren't you going to take a breathalizer?" but he seemed to realize my date was just a poor embarrassed kid.

I passed out. before we left my house. we thought it would be a great idea if we cooked dinner and drank (my parents were out of town.) he pulled the lamest ass move "let's go up to your room to practice dancing - and put in Eric Clapton's "Lady in Red." he knew that would be a good makeout move - which it was, he got to first base and then I passed out. (he's a good friend so I know nothing happened, let's just be clear on that). I woke up at 2am.

I was 15, a sophomore, and waiting for my shining knight to come. A super cute senior left a note in my locker asking me to his prom and I couldn't believe it! Too good to be true right? What did I care?! My best friend was dating his best friend and we'd all get to go together! All was right in the world, especially when I found the perfect floor-length blue sequin dress (year was 1993). My short-lived bliss ended at the post-party when I walked in on my date and my best friend tongue-tied in the pantry. They didn't even pause to acknowledge me. Instead of getting mad, I found HIS best friend and got even : )

I’d been dating my girlfriend Katherine X for 3 years. I hadn’t dated a single other person throughout high-school and figured that we’d stay together throughout college. She broke up with me at the end of prom night and said that she’d met someone on a weekend trip to her new college. I felt like I’d wasted my high-school career!

My friends had told me that this one girl was planning on asking me to the prom. I didn’t like her and avoided her for weeks. Finally, she cornered me while grocery shopping with my dad and it was kind of impossible for me to say no. When the night came, I was so angry that I was going with this girl and not my friends, that I didn’t say a single word to her the entire night.

The girl I took to prom got so drunk that they threw us out (and eventually she couldn’t graduate with the rest of the class). I had to take her home and miss all of the post-prom parties. When we finally got to her house, she got out of my car, dropped her underwear and urinated in the street in front of her parents’ place. I had to go in and get her mom.

A friend decided that she was going to lose her virginity on prom night. She did and got pregnant and had the kid. What a cliché! Sad but true.

I was looking forward to Prom since I was going with my 3-year high school crush. She looked great. I felt good. But the whole night was a disaster. No chemistry. No fun. Certainly no extracurricular activities. The next year I found out through her best friend that she felt terrible about the night and broke down crying.

Prom certainly wasn't the defining moment of my life. Junior prom to be specific, I decided to forgo my Senior Prom seeing as how no one asked me. My prom date was overtly religious, and hands down the worst kisser in history. I remember feeling like a large dog had slobbered all over my face as he brought me home around midnight. Yes, midnight. While the experience wasn't a total disaster, I wouldn't say I have fond memories either.
